NOTE: I created this for a Christmas present for my girlfriend, as such it has a few personal touches which you might not agree with, sorry.
Also, I ran out of time so there's a few details that don't quite feel polished, maybe I'll re-visit in future.

I went through lots of ideas of how I'd print this, like using A4 label paper and sticking to cardboard, thin MDF or chipboard. After putting them all in the 'too hard' basket, I went with canvas printing. It was the easiest, but not cheapest option, but produced a great looking a durable result.
This would have been a great option, if available in Australia.
The cards are just thick paper, printed both sides.
