DOBHAR The Dobhar are a hardy race that hail from a frigid land to the far north, about two months by boat from Rosa. They are believed to be closely related to the worgfolk, but have mustelid features and an adaptation to water that has earned them the nickname "otterwolves". Like the worgfolk, Dobhar communities are often rough, boisterous, and merit-based: a Dobhar is only as valuable as the work they do, and each is expected to pull their own weight to survive. Their homeland, Dobha, is built on a series of icy shelves and glaciers that are known to wax and wane over time. For the past few hundred years, their shores have been waning, forcing many to either rebuild farther to the north, or seek new homes in the temperate waters to the south. Many of those who venture south find themselves in Rosa, where they often find work as sailors, brewers, and fishermen. Their rough-around-the-edges culture often makes it difficult for them to fit in with delicate politics and the more fragile mainland races, but they often fit in well with dwarves (who share their meritocracy and love of alcohol) and orcs (who share their values of strength and honor).
