Our popular Color Deconvolution plug-in uses a sophisticated color deconvolution algorithm in 3D color space to separate or remove color components.
Color separation can be applied to solve forensic problems such as (but not limited to!):
- Removing an obscuring color in foreground or background, in fields such as forensic document examination or fingerprint examination.
- Discrimination of inks in forensic document examination (detecting additions with a different ink).
Color Deconvolution is a plug-in for PhotoShop™ compatible plug-in hosts, some of which are free.
