We are going on a rockclimbing trip around Europe. This site is for people who are interested in our plans. If you have any comments feel free to get in contact with us.
We are leaving our home and jobs for about half a year to go on a proclamation trip around Europe. Starting in the late spring 2010 our plan is to first head north and then when the summer fades away to make our way further and further south. There is no detailed planning time or route wise and most likely there never will be. As we are interested in discovering different aspects of climbing suggestions and ideas on where to go are very welcome. We would love meet local climbers where possible and go out to the rocks with them. This way we hope to discover more then "just the rock". Though this is not supposed to mean we are not interested in getting in contact with anybody but rock climbers. Our interests are wide spread and we are sure there will be a lot of good experiences for us that do not involve rock.
First we are looking for ideas and hints where we should go for rock climbing (see the route for ideas we have in mind). Especially information about spots that are not in the main focus of the climbing scene and so easily missed would be of great value for us. Please tell us also about places that are special for other reasons then the quality or quantity of routes.
If you think we could go climbing together when we are around please let us know. We would appreciate it very much. As said here our experience in trad climbing is quite limited. So especially in areas where self protection is essential we might need some help. Of course we will bring full climbing equipment.
In general we are always interested in meeting interesting people no matter if they are climbers or not.
Obviously as we ask for help climbing abroad you are more then welcome to ask us when you come Frankenjura where we live closed by. If you need help finding a place to stay, information on routes or hints where not to go get in contact with us. Besides there is another little climbing area quite closed to where we live called "Thüringer Wald". Information about that beautiful forest with unfortunately not always as beautiful climbing can be provided as well. If you wanna go and climb with us just get in contact.
Besides we think that we are (mostly) fun and easy to hang out with. Probably that's the reason why we are in a relationship with each other? Whatever. Do not be shy and get in contact with us if you feel like!
