Facilities

Thanks to the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Ontario Innovation Trust, our laboratory is exceptionally well equipped to conduct research in molecular biology, protein over-expression and purification, protein crystallization and X-ray diffraction.

Wet Lab

Our laboratory contains equipment to carry out cloning, protein purifications, and crystallization.

X-Ray Lab

Our home source includes a RU300 generator, equipped with blue Osmics mirrors, RAXIS4++ area detector and a cryosystem from Oxford Cryosystems.

Computer Lab

We have multiple workstations connected to a dedicated cluster of PCs loaded with a complete suite of crystallographic and electron microscopy software to process data, solve and refine structures.

Other Facilities

McMaster University houses state-of-the-art facilities, such as the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy, the Biophotonics Facility or the High Throughput Screening Lab, that allow us to conduct truly multidisciplinary research.
