Title		Philippine Forest Cover (2002) Map Series

Abstract	This map series is a product of the 
		Institute of Environmental Science for Social Change (ESSC)
		upland forest cover study using LANDSAT TM+ data between 
		1999 to 2002.  

		ESSC developed a land cover classification scheme 
		following the FAO land cover classification. Manual 
		photo-interpretation was conducted to derive the 
		forest cover of the Philippines. Uplands were
		delineated as areas above 18% slope and 100 meters 
		above sea level.
