Rules
General Rules
- General Rules for all
Championship Classes.
- The exception rule is that any
car deemed by the scrutineer as un-repairable maybe replaced by another of
the same class for the rest of the meet. Any other circumstance is deemed as
racing!
- Chassis maybe trimmed to allow
for body rock. This rule is meant as a guideline and as such is not open to
abuse. Any excess work carried out on a chassis will mean that it will be
barred from the nights racing.
- Exhausts may be trimmed off if
they are the type that stops the body from rocking.
- Weight maybe added but must be
positioned within the car securely.
- Gom's or worn tyres may be used
as fronts only.
- Full interiors or box
standard interiors must be fitted
at all times.
- Alloy wheels are
acceptable as replacements for plastic wheels in box standard classes, along
as the wheels are the same size as the originals.
- Alloy crown gears are
acceptable as replacements for plastic crown gears in box standard classes,
along as the same ratios as the originals are used.
- Gluing or taping of the motor to its
mounting is allowed so as to stop motor rock.
- Gluing of rear axle bearings
into their respective mounts is allowed.
- Silicone or sponge tyres are
not allowed under any circumstance.
- Rear & front wheels must not
protrude outside of the body line unless it can be proved on the real thing.
- Guide pins may not be
re-positioned.
- Race Formats
- Carrera, Nascar,
Club cars
and
Saloon are all run over 16 lap races, Round result decided on
points
- GT is run over 20 lap
races, Round results decided on laps completed and time taken.
Championship Specific Rules
SCX Nascar
- SCX Nascar is a box standard
class, this
is to make races as competitive as possible.
- Rear tyres are to
remain standard, No pro tyres allowed.
- No modifications other
than those mentioned in the general section.
Carrera
- Carrera is a box standard
class, this
is to make races as competitive as possible.
- Any Carrera closed
wheel car is eligibile.
- Rear tyres to remain standard.
- Motor to remain standard.
- No modifications other than
those mentioned in the general section.
GT
- Any tyre other than those
outlined in the general rules as long as it is commercially available.
- Open class mean that you may
modify your car with any parts that are commercially available to all, but
they must still fall within the general guidelines for all classes.
Rally
- Rally
- Standard class, rear tyre to remain as standard whether they be grooved or knobbly,
whatever the car comes with.
- 4wd to stay 4wd, 2wd to remain 2wd.
- Motors must remain standard.
- Single belt driven cars may
have an extra belt fitted using either plastic or metal pulleys.
- No modifications other than
those mentioned in the general rules section.
- Rally Round Rules.
- Racing rounds are held over 16 lap races.
- Track Stage rounds are individual runs of
3 laps on each lane and 5 laps for the second pairs round.
- Rally Stage rounds are one runs of
5
laps and one run of 15 laps on the rally track.
Saloon
- No 4wd or rally cars allowed.
- Any standard Saloon car
allowed (No NSR
Clio).
- Only motors from the following
list allowed:
- Ninco NC-2
- Ninco NC-5
- Standard Scalextric or Fly Mabuchi
- SCX 42 or 42B.
- No changing of chassis.
- Ninco rear alloys may be used.
- No modifications other than
those mentioned in the general section.
