Christian Hope
Christian built his career on a passion and appreciation for "the creative act," driven by the challenge to imagine and create innovative concepts that connect with people on a deep level.
Creating lasting and memorable moments has been the focus of his over 20 years of experience in the business.
Location-based entertainment provides multiple layers of opportunities to innovate and imagine, from retail and attractions to live entertainment and filmed media.
Since 1982, Christian has had the good fortune to work on many one-of-a-kind projects across the globe, from Universal and Disney parks in California and Florida, to attractions in China, Europe and the Middle East.

Providing concept design and creative direction for a variety of major entertainment oriented firms including: Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Studios, and Paramount Parks International. Presently developing theme park and resort projects in China and the United Arab Emirates.

Directed concept and design development on numerous projects, both Disney branded and Disney owned properties: ESPN, ABC, and The California Angels. Master planning and concept design direction for Disney/OLC Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland Resort. Selected Accomplishment: Design Director on the Bon Voyage retail shop - Maihama Station, Japan.
Universal Studios
Executive Art Director and Concept Designer
1994-1996
Concept design and art direction for Island of Adventure's - Superhero Island and Gameworks interactive arcades. Created overall land design vocabulary and graphic style, as well as individual attraction development: design, story, and marketing concepts. Selected Accomplishment: Stylization on "Hulkoaster" and "Dr. Doom's", Gameworks.

Primarily an entertainment design consultant for Japanese companies looking to partner on entertainment related projects. Selected Accomplishment: Concept Designer and Art Director on "Audiana", a CGI short film for the Panasonic Technologies Group. The film was exhibited in Japan, France, and Spain.

Show Designer on Frontierland, Euro Disneyland. Overall show design and illustration support for Frontierland and Discoveryland. Selected Accomplishment: Concept development on the "Indiana Jones" ride vehicle.

Storyboard artist and production illustrator for Ruby/Spears Animation (subsidiary of Hanna/Barbara). Programs included: "Pound Puppies", "Rambo", "Lazer Tag", and "Kid Video" animated series. Ruby/Spears specialized in product driven programming. Each show mentioned above had a corresponding toy line. Selected Accomplishments: Concept design for Sanrio's Puroland, Japan.

Designer and art director for both print and signage graphics. Subsequent promotion added management responsibilities over small to medium scaled projects including: food service facilities, retail shops, merchandise products, special events, and attractions. Selected Accomplishment: Created "The Christmas Crafts Festival", an event that has been staged every year since 1986.
